General
Many people seek alternative approaches after feeling worn down by being told to try harder or follow more rules. The EASE Approach is grounded in Eating with Awareness, Safety, and Embodiment. Rather than fixing or controlling food, the focus is on developing a steadier, more supportive relationship with eating, one that considers both physical and emotional wellbeing. This work prioritises safety, understanding, and sustainability over control or perfection. The EASE Approach is designed to meet you where you are. There is no expectation to change quickly or to be “ready” in a particular way. The pace of the work is steady, considered, and guided by what feels manageable for you.
This work recognises that changing your relationship with food is a longer-term process, not a quick fix. Some people work with me for a few months, while others choose longer-term support, depending on their needs and goals.
Change doesn’t happen only in sessions. Where helpful, we may agree on practical, reflective work to explore between appointments. This can include food-related experiments, reflections, worksheets, or brief grounding or embodiment practices. Any between-session work is discussed collaboratively and remains optional.
I work with children, young people and adults who feel overwhelmed, conflicted, or distressed around food, eating, or their bodies. You don’t need a diagnosis or to define your experience in a particular way to work with me.
All sessions take place online via Microsoft Teams. Phone sessions are also available, if needed. This allows us to work together in a way that feels accessible, flexible, and supportive wherever you are.
Individual sessions are usually 50 minutes, which allows enough time to build trust, explore what’s coming up for you, and work through challenges in a meaningful way. In some cases, 30-minute sessions may be appropriate and can be discussed depending on your lifestyle and needs.
Group sessions are held weekly and run for 90 minutes, offering a supportive space to learn, reflect, and connect with others in a steady and contained way.
Individual session frequency is discussed collaboratively and tailored to your individual needs. Some people benefit from weekly support, while others prefer fortnightly, monthly, or occasional check-ins, especially if they’re further along and looking for ongoing guidance rather than intensive support. We often adjust the pace as your needs change.
Group Session are held weekly for 12 weeks.

Not necessarily. Meal plans are only used when they are genuinely needed and appropriate for your safety and individual circumstances. Much of our work focuses on building trust with your body and food, where rigid meal plans may not be helpful. Instead, we’ll explore your nutritional needs together, make thoughtful adjustments to your current intake, and, where useful, create flexible meal or snack ideas that support both your physical and mental wellbeing.
Yes. You don’t need to feel a certain level of difficulty, certainty, or readiness to work together. Many people seek support because eating takes up mental space, or feels unsettled, even if they’re unsure how to name it. This work does not require you to commit to rapid or significant changes. We will start by understanding where you are and what feels possible, and we move at a pace that is steady, thoughtful, and appropriate for you.
If you’re unsure whether this approach is the right fit, we can explore that together in an initial conversation, without pressure to continue.
If needed, and always with your consent, I can work alongside other professionals involved in your care, including psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, or GPs.
If you’re not currently seeing anyone else and feel you might benefit from additional support, we can talk this through together and explore trusted options.
